My approach to creating a successful website ABOUT page is to begin with a story to hook them. The hero’s journey is perfect for this.
Your ABOUT page should be set up as follows:
- Your hero’s journey
- Begin with your story about doing hospital rounds and signing your patients out —>Mrs. Rodriguez —>…”wouldn’t it be great if you didn’t get tumors and diseases, and you got stronger and healthier over time?” She grabbed your hand and said, “If any one can do it, you can.”
- Your background
- Your personal quest that took you around the world, and eventually to China where you found exactly what you were looking for
- What you love
- Ex: Seeing people healed using this 5,000 year old technique
- What you’re all about
- Ex: Helping others live, grow and heal in the energy
- Your credentials
- Your credentials are important. A bulleted list will call attention to them because the list will stand out from your paragraph copy, plus make your credentials easy to read and comprehend
- Your call to action
- Ask them to take the next step. Some examples:
- Sign up for ___________ (i.e.) Goals recording for $____
- Learn more link…
- to another page about energy work
- to the full interview with David Asprey
- Join ________________ (i.e.) something free, or minimal price such as Your email list, or Catapult calls
