Have you ever found yourself on a webpage that’s devoted to selling one product? If you scroll down you might even see multiple opportunities to sign up or make a purchase. That’s a Landing Page.
Landing pages look a bit different, too, because they’re typically “missing” these three items:
- navigation menu
- side bar
- footer
That’s done on purpose because once you land on this page, it’s assumed you’re ready to take action. Anything other than the sales information might distract you, cause you to delay action or even leave the page altogether.
The themes I use come with Landing Page templates. If your theme does not, Optimizepress and Lead Pages are two popular 3rd party programs that should work with your WordPress theme.
